Electric aviation at Brighton City Airport

The future starts
on the ground.

Electric flight needs the infrastructure to support it. AeroVolt is developing aircraft charging infrastructure, connecting electric aviation with the places it can serve.

Our partnership brings that ambition into the conversation about your next journey.

Electric Book & Claim

Your journey.
A wider contribution.

Electric Book & Claim connects support for electric aviation with journeys made today. The electric aviation activity and your charter are accounted for separately.

Your charter continues on the aircraft suited to your trip. Speak to our team about the programme, the evidence behind any contribution and the documentation available.

Clear environmental claims

New EU rules.
A transparent approach.

01

What changed on 27 September 2026

Directive (EU) 2024/825 strengthens protection against misleading environmental claims, including claims that external carbon offsetting makes a service climate-neutral, lower-carbon or environmentally positive.

02

How Oxygen communicates

We keep your charter and any optional environmental contribution separate. We do not claim that participation makes your flight electric, carbon-neutral or emissions-free.

03

Keeping support in aviation

Electric Book & Claim directs support to separately accounted electric aviation activity and charging infrastructure through AeroVolt, with the scope and evidence explained before you decide.

The EU rules still allow businesses to explain investments in environmental initiatives when the information is accurate, verifiable and not misleading. Oxygen’s approach describes the supported aviation activity without relabelling the charter or removing its emissions. Read Directive (EU) 2024/825 ↗

Your questions, answered.

Does Electric Book & Claim make my charter electric?

No. Contributions support separate electric aviation activity. Your charter remains on the aircraft selected for the trip, and participation does not remove the emissions from that flight. Ask the team about programme evidence and documentation.

How does this compare to Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)?

Electric Book & Claim is another step forward. SAF (biofuels) have existed for over 40 years. Electric Book & Claim is brand new and fits in line with wider transition to electric for most transport classes.

What are the new EU Greenwashing Rules?

From 27 September 2026, new EU consumer-protection rules place much tighter restrictions on environmental claims such as “carbon neutral”, “climate compensated” or “reduced climate impact” where those claims are based on offsetting emissions outside a company’s own value chain. The aim is to make sustainability claims clearer and more evidence-based. Businesses can still support carbon reduction projects, but they need to be much more careful about suggesting that purchasing offsets makes a particular flight, product or service carbon neutral. For aviation, this means companies will increasingly need to demonstrate genuine, measurable action within the sector rather than relying on broad offset-based marketing claims.
